AS I HAVE HAD ABOUT 250 TIRE KICKERS AND SCAMMERS BURN MY TIME, DONE!
Porsche 911-996 that I have owned for over ten years, West Coast Washington State vehicle.
(no rust or corrosion throughout, as Washington State does not salt roads).
Black exterior, tan interior, all original.
Original spare with red Porsche spare wheel, vintage air pump and original stereo amp under hood, spare cover, original jack system, all that
Lowered and has GT3 adjustable sway bars and related suspension.
All windows work properly, no window leaks.
There are no check engine lights or any issues.
I bought this vehicle with 100k on it from a classic car dealer, and I put the additional miles on here driving mountain roads in Washington Cascade Mountains, she has never been a vehicle sitting in freeway traffic. Clean car fax.
Also has a 1/2" deep extended oil pan system and engine oil baffle system so oil is never low when taking high G-force turns.
Has wear on the paint from actual driving and a few door dings from these that just having to park out in left field next to me. I'm working on those little bits when I have time.
Drives perfectly straight, never been overheated, (Mobile 1 synthetic oil ) since new.
Has BSS wheels (over 4k alone on wheels tires are 85% at least) and top of the line performance tires, handles like a dream.
Left door was hit by a fool backing out of a driveway, so it has a New Left Door. The area behind the door was slightly pinched thus the black primer and gloss paint, (as its not repainted at the moment), (but no metal was cut out like body shops).
Has much new suspension, control arms, sway bar tie links, front brakes and discs, hood shocks and all kinds of other bits.
Replace the plastic oil fuel Separator connector with an Aluminum.
Ordering new front side markers which you will notice not on vehicle.
I have personally never let anyone drive this vehicle, never been Redlined, always driven properly, air-cond is like an ice machine and heater will bake you, all 100%.
This car is so fast you can kill yourself easy if you don't understand what your driving.
Specs: 300hp Fuel Injected flat 6 cylinder.
2-wheel rear wheel drive, 6 speed manual transmission.
2-door Coupe with tilting back seat (only good for small children, but its how Porsche makes it a coupe instead of a Roadster for insurance).
McPherson Strut style suspension.
See pics for all else mileage.
Also has a new OEM from Windscreen. About 5 months old, perfect, no scratches on any windows.
Does about 175mph, I have clocked it on a road course racetrack during Driver Education Skills days w PCA.
Has a great totally functional radio, CD with 4 port CD storage and a mp3 aux input that just needs the cable installed in the rear of the unit.
Also have the original electric stock air-intake tail in you do not like the Spoiler that creates some downforce.
Power seats, not heated.
All original records, suspension setup at Trueline in Redmond WA and a full booklet of records.
Possible offers with cash in hand only, no negotiation of any kind over the phone, I am old school. She is registered in So Carolina, we just moved to NC., insured and totally legit. Original clean title.
Questions I have been asked.
The IMS bearing is an issue with very few 996's vehicles, it’s a over published inflated thing, but a bad IMS will destroy the engine. I inspect the oil every time I drive, its clean as is the magnet drain plug.
It’s the original IMS or there is a chance it was replaced before I owned her, I have a book of records, either they have as issues or they did not. I bought this from an exotic car dealer after a friend said he traded it in for another vehicle, so I bought her knowing much about the vehicle
It was inspected 10 years ago when I purchased the car but a Porsche mechanic in Snohomish.
I replaced the clutch about 10k miles ago, stock clutch and T/O bearing.
I have the most maintenance record but not all, its 22 years old.
The aluminum unit in the steering wheel that touches the contact for the horn needs to be replace but the horn works fine still, it’s a 90-dollar part, takes 10 min to change.
No oil, no coolant, no transmission cooler leak.
We just move 2 months ago so I’m still in catchup mode.
FYI: For the price the Porsche 911/996 in the exotic vehicle market is the biggest band for the buck, there is no other.
