Vehicle Description
I bought this Landcruiser in about 2003 and it’s been a remarkable vehicle for 16 years! It still runs great, doesn’t burn any oil, and will probably continue running for quite some time.
I’m selling it because I bought a used Toyota 4Runner (with both of my Toyota’s getting up there in miles, I need to start upgrading with newer vehicles to avoid having to buy two at once in the future).
It’s got heated seats, leather, power seats, all of which work fine. The leather is still in great shape, especially for its age. The transmission is an automatic all wheel drive, with the option to add 4-wheel drive high or 4-wheel drive low.
It also has a 3rd set of gears that I call a ‘tractor gear’ because it locks all 4 tires and crawls at a 3-4 mph maximum. The gears themselves work fine; however, since I virtually never used this option, the electric gear shifter has stopped working due to non-use (probably needs to be removed and cleaned, or replaced). It could be fixed if you consider it a priority.
Due to MN winters, this one does have some rust on the body and frame, and there are a few things that I’ve chosen not to fix because of its age, but nothing that prevents me from using it comfortably. (I recently I pulled my camper up to Lake Superior with it, for example.) The asking price reflects that it has some rust on it.
I just had $1000 in work done (rear brake lines and an exhaust leak), and had the full exhaust line replaced last year, plus other standard wear and tear types of repairs over time. The tires probably have a year or two left on them, depending on how much you drive.
Great vehicle to have around if you need a 4-wheel drive/all wheel drive that always starts and runs smoothly.
