1999 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Pre Runner. 2.7 4 Cyl. Engine - Auto Trans. Rear Wheel Drive with LSD. The Truck : This was built by me (Mechanic for over 40 years) in my shop here in Madison. The truck you see listed had 301,xxx miles and the engine had blown. I picked up a 1999 Toyota Pre Runner SR5 that had been hit in the front that had 110,xxx Miles on it. It was a one owner VERY WELL MAITNTAINED Pick Up. Identical in year and drive train. I have documentation on swap truck and miles. So . I built one out of two. If this scares you off . don't bother.
Mileage on this truck shows 201,126 - That is Engine - Transmission and Rear End. Body of the truck has 411,xxx. P.S. / P.B / Tilt / Int. Wipers / ICE COLD AC / LED Light Conversion on interior / Factory Clock / Complete Owners Manual / Locking Gas Cap / Factory Color Coded Running Boards / Drilled and Slotted Front Rotors / Class 3 Hitch / 60-40 Split Bench Seat /New Tailgate Handle Assembly / New Washer Tank with Pump. The Engine - Transmission, Rear End, Instrument Cluster, Main Wiring Harness, Emission Components and most other components were swapped into the truck you see pictured. Truck was built June of 2016. At this time a new Windshield was installed and its still looks new. New Shocks and Struts installed, 2" Lift Kit Installed - Front / Springs - Rear / Shackles with Poly Bushings replaced, Full Transmission service, Installed K & N Air Filter, Major Tune Up with Both Upstream and Downstream O2 Sensors . Denso, Both Battery Cables, Installed New Radiator, Hoses and quite a few more items. July 2018 the Catalytic Convertor was replaced at a cost of over 400.00 Dollars. November 2018 This Truck had a GREAT Sound System installed which includes a High Power Kenwood Double DIN Head Unit - Kenwood 6 1/2" Coaxial Door Speakers along with Kenwood 5 1/2" Rear Speakers. Nothing cut or butchered. Correct Speaker Mounting Housing's for this vehicle were used. Has a great sound. June 2019 Replaced Master Cylinder for Brakes - Complete Flush and Service of Brake System. In November 2020 Replaced the Drivers Side Inner Tie Rod and Both Outer Tie Rods along with Front Brakes. June 2020 Coolant Service was done along with 180 degree Reverse Thermostat and Pentifrost A-1 Red 100,000 Mile Antifreeze. Feb 2022 The Alternator Was Replaced - it has limited lifetime replacement / Advance Auto. March 2022 The Fuel Pump was replaced with a Walbro 185 GPH Unit - High Quality. My Daughter has picked up a newer Tundra and has decided to let this Tacoma Go. April 2022 I pulled The Engine and Transmission - Replaced Front and Rear Seals - Replaced Valve Cover Gasket - Oil Pan Gasket - Full Service on Transmission - Spark Plugs - Fuel Filter - Water Pump - Coolant - PCV Valve - Serviced Rear Diff - Greased Driveline - Serviced Power Steering System - Y Pipe Exhaust gaskets replaced - Oil and Filter - Transmission Fluid - Serviced K & N Air Filter.
Oil and Filter done every 3,000 Miles Since Build with several Slick 50 Engine Treatments. Regular Transmission Fluid Changes. Only has run Non Ethanol Fuel with regular Fuel Treatments. As you can see its rough on the outside. Damage to passenger side back of cab and bed. Bad paint fade on hood and roof. It has been used as a truck. Frame is near perfect condition and clean.
