Vehicle Description
This is my 1999 Volvo that has recently blown one of its engine seals and I am trying to sell as a project car or as a parts car. The car ran and drove great before the seal broke. It will also need a new PCV valve since that is probably the reason it blew a seal in the first place. It is a fairly low mile example that has a comfortable interior, cold AC, smooth transmission and a peppy turbo engine. Since this car cannot safely hold oil it does not currently run and will need to be towed. This is what I would call a "mechanics special" as even after you spend money fixing the car you'll still have a great car for super cheap!
Will only be accepting cash, not interested in checks or trades
THE GOOD
Timing belt and water pump service was done around a year ago
vacuum leak service has been done
full break service new pads and rotors
decent tires
new coolant temp sensor
spark plugs have lots of life left
has had routine oil changes and all service has been done by licensed Volvo technicians
THE BAD
Blown engine seal
Clogged PCV valve
Faulty ABS module (easy replacement)
coolant light that wont go away (probably a faulty sensor somewhere)
Check engine light
minor scuffs on the front and rear bumber
paint is chipping away in some areas
Hood latch is broken
Headliner is coming off in some places
This would be a great car if you have the time or the money to fix it. Or a parts car for any 850/S70/V70.
