Vehicle Description
This Suzuki has a lot going for it, and a lot more going against it.
I originally bought it from a friend thinking that it would be a great little off-roader. I tore out all the carpet and the back-seat, replaced the upstream and downstream sensors to get it out of limp mode and then forgot about it. My friend was never able to get the title for it to me, so it sat. It's been sitting about a year, and I'm sick of looking at it. I just got it running, drove it a couple of miles, it's doing great considering how long it sat.
Pros:
The cheapest V6 or 4x4 you'll find today.
Would kick ass at the Gambler 500, which was it's original purpose
Can seat 2 people
Has a stereo, in theory
Still has its original catalytic converter
Cons:
Needs a new battery, asap. I tossed in a battery from my old honda, it's not very strong.
Leaks and burns oil like crazy. All these old Suzuki's need the oil pan gasket replaced, and you have to pull the engine to do it. I don't wanna do it. Until that's done, it's gonna smoke like crazy and likely won't be a good commuter.
I pulled out all the carpet and the back seats like an idiot. Threw them away.
Sat for about a year, and it shows. Fuel is just as old, so it chugs-a-lugs and idles weird and smells bad on the inside. Glad I pulled out all the carpet!
Busted back window, pictured.
Missing title, but you should be able to file and get one from DMV.
Really, you should only buy this if you know your way around an engine, or are willing to pay a mechanic a bunch to get it into working order. You'll need to get it titled too, unless you're gonna let it be a farm car or something.
It really should be towed too, it is drive-able, but not for too long due to battery and fuel issues.
Feel free to text. Thanks!
