Offered is a metallic dark blue 2001 BMW 740iL, BMW's flagship car. Please understand this is a 22 year old vehicle and the cosmetics reflect that.
This vehicle is loaded with options including Msport package, leather and wood interior dressings with highliner trim, sun roof, parking sensors, Stereo system with six CD capacity, window shades, fog lights, heated seats and steering wheel, etc. A/C and heat work well.
Has had new timing chain, guides, hoses, radiator, water pump, spark plugs, struts, rotors and pads plus more installed. Two sets of tires are near new, one set are on the M Sport rims (summer set of tires) and the second are on snow flake (Michelin tires for winter driving) rims. Spare is also new on full size rim.
There is rust on door bottoms and a service engine light for lean burn on cylinder 4. I have the replacement injectors, new owner will need to install, however, car runs great as is.
Comes with original owner's manual, original window sticker, BMW shop manual and code reader tool. 181,000 miles on it now, very strong engine with the majority of maintenance needs completed, basically selling at cost of the parts installed in this car the past few years. Purchased 10/2015 from Willowbrook, IL dealer (small family business). 142,000 miles. I repaired/replace glove box handle, license plate lamps, entire cooling system (Graf water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, fan, fan clutch, belts-parts from OEM Bimmerparts). Did transmission filter and fluid change in spring 2016.
New front wheel bearings and hub nuts Fall 2016.
Timing chain noise, did major maintenance and installed new spark plugs, all timing components including guides, chains and tensioners (all genuine BMW parts). Also oil pump chain adjusted, replaced oil separator and pan gasket. Completed February 13, 2016- 144K on odometer.
