Vehicle Description
I have owned this car for 13 years and purchased it when it had 30,000 miles. I know everything about it and will be more than happy to share any of those details. Here is a general idea of what you are looking at:
1. Car is overheating. Highly likely that it is a blown head gasket. Please also consider a water pump and thermostat for repair. Coolant is not reaching the oil pan - so no milkshake that I can tell (no guarantee). Car has been driven while overheating. Coolant foams in reservoir. Possible damage to engine block. Rough idle but will start. This car needs a trailer ride to be on the safe side.
2. Current check engine light: P0336 Crank shaft position sensor A (this is behind the balancer on the engine). P0507 Idle Control System (I have replaced Idle Air Control Valve and cleaned the throttle). Even with these occurring the car ran fine. The lights have been on for about a year. Emergency brake light stays on whether or not the emergency brake is engaged. Hub sensors disabled meaning no traction control or anti lock brakes (I've been driving this car like that for probably 6 years - I just drive it like I would an older car without ABS). Hubs in condition with no bearing noise that I can tell. Fuel gauge does not work ($80 repair) I kept track of this by mileage (roughly 350-380 miles on one tank).
3. Leaking windshield. Car used to leak a lot of water into the interior. I used a sealer to seal the gasket (there is some rust in this area at the top of the windshield below the gasket. Now a small amount of water will leak into the passenger side ceiling near the door - only noticeable if you touch the ceiling fabric. Interior of the car is in good shape with some scrapes and minor discoloration on ceiling fabric and plastics. Stock CD stereo.
4. Paint - you will find rust spots and road rash on the exterior of this car. While I was driving on I-75 in Tennessee I avoided an accident and the back right of the car brushed up against a guard rail. Cosmetic damage only (included in pictures). Right rear bumper hit in parking lot by car backing into it. Cosmetic damage. Never an accident.
5. My plan was to keep this car until it couldn't go any longer. It has a good set of tires (Firestone) with rotations kept up with. It has a new compressor installed with fresh charge of refrigerant - blowing cold air. Power steering system was serviced last month with new lines installed due to leak. New radiator installed about 2 years ago due to old one cracking at seam. Transmission serviced 2 years ago with drain and new fluids at Rincon Transmission in Savannah. I was always confident in the transmission especially after they serviced it.
People always offered to buy this car from me when I was driving it around and I always declined. I did everything I could to keep it going because I had it for so long.
Please don't hesitate to make an offer or ask any questions.
