Used 2001 DODGE CARAVAN - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive... for sale in Blue Ridge, TX

I have a 2001 DODGE CARAVAN, I call the HOOPTIE. It is just a work van. I have had it 4.5 years and it runs as good as my new Mercedes.

Last week something happened with the transmission when it shifted from first to second. If you turn it off then start it and put it in drive, it will go 200 yards then will not pull.

I am making a list of what has been replaced in the last month to one year. The radiator is a week old. Just replaced it with a new one. $400. It has one year old struts and strut mounts. It has 10 month old new rotors and pads for all four wheels.

The A/C compressor, evaporator and dryer are less than a year old. All brand new parts. The alternator is six month old and the battery is less than a year old. The tires are all almost new.

I used the van for work. I have rent houses and carried my tools. I am telling you before whatever happened to the transmission, it ran like a new car. I chose to replace all those parts because I have a mechanic/friend who did the work extremely cheap and I did not want a car payment.

If someone is looking for a good work van, this is it. You could part it out and make way more than the $900 asking price. Yes I bought a new car. Time for someone else to drive the van. I hate to give it up!!! The A/C blows hard and super cold. It drives straight as an arrow. Starts up and runs like a CHAMP.

The oil change place is next door to my mechanic, you are welcome to confirm with them that I had the oil changed regularly. I just had it changed. It may have 180000 miles but with all the new parts and taking care of it , it has along way to go. I have only put 38000 miles on it in 4.5 years of owning it. Basically 9000 miles a year. Just a work van.
