Vehicle Description
I am the 2nd owner. I bought it as a project truck but was not prepared for the under cab rust. The radiator support is rotted as well and this has caused the A/C evaporator to crack and fail. It was blowing cold A/C when I got it. I replaced the boost bypass valve. In my opinion, it is only good for the parts. I do drive it every day but my commute is only 5 miles each way. If you are good at sheet metal, you might be able to save it. Otherwise this is where you can buy all this in one place:
5.4l supercharged engine.
4R100 Transmission.
9.75 rear end with a 3.73 ratio and traction lock (I added the T/A girdle early on.)
Aluminum Drive Shaft.
Lightning suspension.
Body ground effects.
Headlights and tail light housings are new.
Brand new 265/50 Nitto NT555's for the front. (Haven't touched the road yet.)
Rear wheels have been widened to 10.5" and come with the 4 tires that came with the truck. I was going to powder coat the wheels so I have not mounted the rears yet. Two tires are old and probably shouldn't be mounted (lots of smokey burnouts before tossing?) but the other two are still good and have plenty of tread left.
The drivers seat and carpet are pretty worn but the rest is in reasonable condition.
I recently replaced the shackles for the rear springs.
It comes with all the options available from the factory except the tonneau cover.
Again, decent pickup but more body rot than I can repair.
I'm very firm with the price of $5,000. If you absolutely have to barter than the starting price is $12,995 and you can amaze your friends how much you talked me down from there.
It is currently driving on the snow tires that will also come with it.
I also have parts that I bought but have not put on the truck yet. (4 O2 sensors, PCV hose {the right one AND the wrong one}, two U-joints, a new supercharger belt (this came with the truck). I also have an exhaust project but if you don't want it, you don't need to take it.
