Vehicle Description
I'm selling my trusty 2001 GMC Savana 3500 passenger van. I've removed three of the four bench seats because I mostly use the van to haul things around town these days. So, the pictures show it without the seats but I have them in my garage and will include all the seats with purchase. The van has 247,907 on the odometer. I just purchased a $200 battery a few days ago so that's new. There's a new alternator and a new starter which were each installed 2-3 years ago. I don't drive the van much at all so hardly any wear is on the starter or alternator at this point. It's a powerful van and can haul a lot. I just don't have enough projects these days to justify holding onto the van for the occasional use.
Condition issues: It doesn't have A/C. It has several cracks in the windshield and I always intended to replace it but never got around to it since I just use the van for short hauling. If you have a garage for storing it, should be fine as-is, but if you park it on the street in a rain storm water will leak onto the dash from the damaged windshield if you don't get it replaced. There's rust damage to the lower extremities on the sides of the van as you can see in the photos and some scuffs and light denting here and there. It's a little loud, probably some holes in the exhaust system somewhere, but it starts right up and drives fine. Should have plenty of life left in it, especially if you are just planning on using for hauling in town. I took it on several trips around the country with no problems except for when the alternator went out a few years ago on a trip and had to be replaced. It's been a really dependable van. Please write with any questions.
