Vehicle Description
Oct 21, 2019: An OPEN NOTE to all you scammers out there - Knock it off with the "I need a vehicle history from www.titlesreports.com" CARFAX is one of the TWO highest rated VHR providers. I've already confirmed you're working for 'titlesreports' and have reported you.
08.03.2019: CARFAX VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT NOW AVAILABLE!
PRICE REDUCED to $8,000.00 (An almost $9,000 loss to me) CAR MUST GO - OUT OF ROOM!
I purchased this 2001 MX 5 Convertible from it's 91-year old owner (she had taken good care of it) and immediately took the car to Sierra Service; Had the engine completely reconditioned; new fuel injectors and spark plugs, water pump, gaskets, all new belts, engine and transmission flushed and all liquids replaced, all filters, timing checked, to bring engine up running like new. Also replaced door actuators, stereo speaker and convertible top clamp.
** 5-Speed Automatic Transmission (4-Sp + Electric Overdrive) + CRUISE CONTROL.
** Independent 4-wheel suspension with coil-over shocks! This is the epitome sports-car model with styling to support that claim!
** Reconditioned the convertible top with expensive kit to repel UV and water...top is in excellent condition and has glass rear window with heater wiring.
** Installed new LED flashing center brake light + new license plate lights; Dual Hella horn kit (they will truly hear you coming now!); excellent brakes and almost new tires (she had replaced them the week before I bought the car)
** IMPRESSIVE Air Conditioner! BOSE A/M F/M CD Stereo; GPS mount slides into the CD slot - perfect screen positioning yet easily removed to use the CD Player; Backup camera turns on when transmission is placed in "Reverse"
** A Sumind FM Transmitter provides Hands-free phone calls - simply pair a smart phone, turn on the radio and select Ch 5 to make or receive calls.
** Replaced the Center Console and Window Switches + New Seat Covers, Leather Steering Wheel Cover and very nice black Dash Mat Cover
** Rather than buy a $300~$400 cheesy vinyl or cloth boot top, I opted for a Fiberglass Deck Top, put it together and painted it myself. It goes on and off easily using two existing trunk lid bolts... really adding a very nice styling touch! I have an expensive front Sunscreen shield and two top covers... one for "TOP UP" and one for "TOP DOWN" (these do not cover the entire car - rather from the windshield wipers back to the bottom of the rear window, fastening to the wipers (velcro) and two rectangular tabs that are held in place by the rear of the trunk lid) designed to protect the TAN convertible top under all conditions.
** Installed an auto-opener for trunk. Simply press "Trunk" symbol on Remote and the trunk will open itself!
** Purchased a Lift System and Ramp Set. The Lift effortlessly raises/lowers the MX 5 (comes with adapters to lift a truck also) and has safety stops. The ramp set was necessary to have the car meet the Lift's lowest level.
** MILEAGE: 72,792. NOTE: This car is 18 years old and in excellent condition for that age. The mileage seen averages only 4,044 MILES PER YEAR!!! (Remember the age of the previous owner!) My wife and I have used this MX 5 to drive from Sierra Vista to Tombstone on occasion and nowhere else and it is kept 100% garaged!
PRICING: FOR SALE CASH ONLY - Otherwise buyer and seller must meet at buyer's bank to complete transaction
NOTE: I have almost $17,000.00 invested in this project to return this automobile to its previous glory!
