Vehicle Description
2001 Mercury Grand Marquis
I purchased this car last October. I'm the fourth owner and second driver (two owners were lots, Beaverton Honda and Blue line Auto.)
It has 108xxx miles on it. Runs, starts, drives, stops.
Since I've been the owner I've replaced the old intake manifold with an upgraded Dorman, which in this rare case is actually better than the factory replacement. I replaced coil packs, plugs and wires, replaced upper and lower control arms, ball joints, brakes and rotors, and it comes with Police & Taxi shock upgrades (brand new and uninstalled which I will include with purchase.)
Oil just changed about a week ago, newish tires, (bought six months ago and driven mostly around town).
Cons:
It sounds like it might need a new left lower ball joint. There's a ton of quirky junk about it too. Like I have remote fobs for it but the receiver is out so they don't work. The fuel door has to be opened manually. The passenger window doesn't roll down, and it's been idling a little rough. I'm not a car guy, don't care to be and don't really want to put anything else into this vehicle.
It has been a decent car but I want something a little newer I can haul kids around in so I'm just going to sell this and keep on trucking.
Asking $1500 or best offer.
