Vehicle Description
Priced to sell!
This is a clean, reliable car that has been in the possession on 1 family and under the care of 1 mechanic most of it's life (all paperwork available)
I purchased it less than a month ago because I needed an engine with a smaller displacement than my Toyota 4Runner. However, I still need something with an even smaller engine (let me know if you have a small Hyundai you want to trade for)
The car has high miles (240K, a lot of highway driving) that absolutely have not affected it's performance: drivetrain is smooth, handling is tight. You can tell it was in the care of a good family by just how clean it is.
The only rust you will find is over the rear right fender (picture).
Also, the handle on left rear passenger door is broken but it can still be opened with a finger - just not convenient.
Also the driver side window makes a little bit of wind noise over 55 mph. not a difficult fix.
Important! Subaru boxer engines of this generation are known to develop head gasket problems/leaks anywhere between 90K and 150K miles. This was addressed on this car in July 2010 at 146,000 miles - see picture of the receipt.
Many other repairs have been done: relatively new axle shafts, bearings, alternator, breaks and tires, flushed transmission, good battery, etc, etc.
It's a good, reliable daily driver that will come especially handy with the winter around the corner.
Send me questions. I'll be happy to buy/supply the CarFax if you need it. The car is parked in Georgetown - you are welcome to come and drive.
