Vehicle Description
We inherited a big family sedan so now my significant other wants me to sell my extra cars. This is a 2001 Toyota Solara SLE V6 convertible which I have owned and enjoyed for five years. It passes inspections no problem and is properly licensed, insured, etc. It got sideswiped and before I bought had a green driver's side door which works okay. It has good AC and heater. No HVAC issues. It has a JBL Infinity factory sound system, The radio still works most of the time but the cassette deck and compact disc haven't worked since I bought it. There is a wonderful aroma of burning oil when you drive it with the top up because a valve cover gasket is slowly dripping. It hardly consumes any oil or any other fluids for that matter. I had to replace the alternator and the battery last year but other than that I haven't had any trouble with this car at all. If you can get over the way it looks it is a great car. It could also use a brake light switch; sometimes the brake light gets stuck on (and shaking the pedal turns it off )when I don't drive it enough, but that's only a $20 part. I just have trouble getting underneath the dash at my advanced age. It has a nice power top where you push just one button and the top and all four of the windows come down together. It's pretty cool. I welcome your mechanics inspection. My price is $2,000 FIRM, not a penny less. No negotiation. Otherwise I will drive it until the wheels fall off of it. I would gladly buy a Solara again, and I hope to acquire a newer one in better shape someday. I am retired so you can come look at it at any reasonable hour. You may text me at anytime, but I don't constantly check my phone like a millennial.
