Vehicle Description
2001 Volkswagen Golf for sale. I'm selling the car because it was my daily driver turned project, but I'm moving and can't take it with me. Asking $1300 obo.
Power windows (auto up and down for front seats), locks, and sunroof. Manual transmission and 6 disc CD changer, if you're into that sort of thing.
The car runs well as is, but does need a new rack and pinion, two oxygen sensors, and an engine tune up because it's been relatively stagnant for about two years. Until the steering is fixed, it will leak power steering fluid, and the sensors will keep the check engine light on. The driver's side door sensor is also out, so the car thinks the door is always open, but this is a more of a minor annoyance. None of these issues keep it from driving.
There are also a few cosmetic issues. As you can see in the photos, the glove box door needs a new latch, as does the center armrest/console. According to the carfax report I received when I bought the vehicle, it had been in a minor accident, and the dealership didn't do the best job fixing the paint, so there are some bubbles on the back end.
Would make a great project for a VW lover that has a little more time for the TLC that this car deserves. Shoot me an email with any questions.
