Vehicle Description
Priced to sell! As much as I love my truck, it's time to let her go so I can buy something more fuel efficient. This is the perfect vehicle for someone on a budget who still wants a reliable vehicle. There are a few small things that still need to be fixed (mostly cosmetic), so in this post I'll let you know exactly the shape this truck is in.
The good:
This truck was owned by Temple College for most of its life. Due to this, most of the miles on the truck are from driving around campus. The engine is in great shape and there are no engine codes from an OBD-2 scan. This baby is ready to go for another 150k miles.
The tires were put on last year and have only been driven on for a few thousand miles. Last week I had some repairs done - the auto shop replaced the front brake pads and calipers, and resurfaced/replaced the rear brake drums. I also had them change the oil. I have the receipt for all of this work.
The bad:
You cannot adjust the temperature of the A/C - it is always at the coldest setting. You can still adjust the fan strength. Occasionally the A/C cuts out randomly, and I'm not sure why. The shop told me it would cost a couple hundred to fix but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I just noticed that one of the belts started squeaking today. Should be no big deal and a cheap fix.
The ugly:
As you can see in the pictures, there is damage to the driver's side door. I hit it backing out of the garage. It still opens and shuts, but should probably be replaced.
The plastic dash cover has sun damage and quite a bit of it has fallen off. I put a cover on it.
My auto shop (Camden auto repair) has a Durango they can use to replace both the door and dash cover. They offered to do this for the cost of labor, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
That's about it! This is a great vehicle and I am only selling it since it's not a great commuter vehicle in terms of gas mileage. Call or text and come take a test drive.
