Used 2001 Wrangeler TJ Sahara with custom soft top - - by for sale in Gilbert, AZ

We purchased this TJ from an older couple that was retired and had really taken care of it. It is my wife’s Jeep and we only took it off-road twice since we have another Jeep that we use for that purpose and always kept this one in good condition. Low miles – 115K as she only drove it on nice days and it was garaged most of it’s life. What is special about this one is the following: The only top like this ever made for the TJ. It is a one-off top and is older so it is not perfect but it has 6 pieces and can be configured in a variety of ways and gives it that military/safari type feel that no other TJ has. Because of this, you get more headroom and an extremely tough thick metal tube frame that will not bend or break. It also has an additional 7th piece (windjammer) to match that is also custom made. This is also the coveted Sahara Edition with the tan and green seats (which are in very good condition and dash (the soft top was made to match). The rear bumper with the Jerry cans (painted to match) is no longer being manufactured and is sought after (have been offered to buy or trade many times)- It gives the TJ a “longer” look than other TJs. There is also a custom made cooler/gear rack attached above the tire carrier. This is really helpful on trips because it give you that extra cargo space all Jeep owners wish they had. It has a 1.25” body lift and an OME 2.5” suspension lift which makes it drive perfectly- stiff but soft over the bumps (just right). The rear has a factory limited slip (which is actually somewhat rare on these) for extra traction off road. The custom made mirrors give it an old school look as well. New PCM (these are hard to find now and cost a lot now that they are out of production), new transmission (I think it was $4K installed) and new BFG all-terrain tires. There is a seat riser in the driver’s seat since my wife is short but that can easily be removed if you are tall. Automatic transmission.

The bad:
-There is a zipper on which seam came loose but I will fix that for you before you take possession.
-Front auxiliary lights were installed years ago but I never got around to actually wiring them to a switch so right now, they are just for show ;-)
-Between last summer and this summer, the AC stopped working. It may be a simple fix but we didn’t care since my wife only drives it on perfect days and we are not willing to repair it.
It was working for years and, unlike our other model Jeep, blew extremely cold AC.

There is nothing wrong with it mechanically at all except for the AC recently going out.
