Vehicle Description
Good car for a mechanic or someone who knows how to work on cars. Ran but when I got a new car I parked this one and it has sat. Because the battery does not work, I am guessing on the mileage. The last oil change tag says 117,000 but I am almost positive that is a typo and it was meant to be 217,000. If you want to bring a battery with you to check the mileage you are welcome to. It will need the oil changed first thing as it has sat with the oil in it. I don't think you are suppose to run a car on old oil.
WILL NEED
- Tires (one flat, worn out)
- Brakes (I think this was close to due before I parked it)
- Battery (dead)
- Oil changed before running as it has sat for 2-3 years
When I was using this car it was a great car. I had a new transmission put in by skyline transmission about 2 years before I parked it.
What doesn't work
- Gas gage - This never worked the entire time I owned the car. I always went by how much gas the car used on the display and at 14 gallons I would refill (18 gallon tank). There is a youtube video that shows how to fix the gas clip (it needs to be cleaned off is all) and this will fix the problem.
- Air Conditioning - A friend of mine got some stuff in a can and put it somewhere in the engine which fixed the A.C. the last summer I used it. I don't remember what it was but I think it was $10 or less. The heat does work.
- Driver side window - Would go down but not up so a mechanic told me he clipped or pulled the wire so it doesn't go down or up. It's aways up. The other windows work.
I really think this car would be best for someone who knows how to work on cars / has access to cheap parts. It was owned by only one other person and she always took it to the dealer and collected all the receipts of what was work was done. I have also keep most if not all receipts of work done.
