Vehicle Description
Former Colorado car. 151k miles, All-wheel drive, auto transmission. Always starts, runs excellent, shifts smooth, rides great, handles ice and snow like a Yeti.
The Good:
• 2.7 Liter V6 engine- Surprisingly strong engine. I’ve pulled trailer loads of llamas up mountain passes in Colorado with no problem.
• Power windows, doors, and locks
• Keyless entry
• Cruise control
• Moon roof
• JVC after-market radio
• New tires
• New timing belt, spark plugs, coil packs, front struts, stabilizer dampers
• Cold A/C (but who cares in winter???)
• Class III trailer hitch- pulls my boat with no problem
• Seats and interior in good condition- non-smoking car
The Bad:
• I occasionally get a whiff of oil outside the car. I don’t see any dripping, so I suspect it has a small oil leak above the exhaust somewhere.
• Intermittently it won’t turn over in Park- have to shift to Neutral to start. This comes and goes, and hasn’t done it in the last couple weeks, but thought I should mention it since I don’t think cars have the ability to heal themselves....
• Doors are a little stiff opening and closing.
The Ugly:
• While it spent 7 years in Colorado, there are rust spots by both rear wheel wells. The rest of the body is solid.
• If the rear trunk area gets wet, or there’s high humidity for a few days, there’s a musty odor in the car. It’s a long story as to why, but I have a complete replacement for that trunk liner. It just never bugged me enough to get around to putting it in.
Dog approved. But the hounds in the pictures are not included... ;^)
