Vehicle Description
Ultra-rare Lexus IS300 SportCross high performance wagon (5-door hatchback). Google "Ultra-Rare Lexus IS SportCross" and read all about it.
Engine is 2JZ-GE inline-6 with 5-speed automatic transmission. Car is mechanically sound and handles great, but it does have some issues (see below). I am the original owner and am sad to part with it after 21 years of faithful service. (I have driven it very little since 2014, when my job went virtual. Only 8,000 miles since 2018.) It has been an excellent car and deserves to be fixed up and made awesome by a SportCross enthusiast.
This is the perfect car for SURFERS. Front passenger seat folds forward to be completely flat. Can securely hold surfboards up to 9'6", or 3+ shorter boards. Picture shows 9'2" longboard in canvas bag. Plenty of room for surf tub, gear, water, etc. I surfed ~1,500 sessions out of this car.
Needs paint! Clear coat is gone, paint is badly oxidized, but base coat still intact, no rust (except for a small ~6" x 1" dent on edge of front left wheel well). Lots and lots of rock chips in hood paint, and some loose/missing panel clips. Very minor and you get to paint it your favorite color!
Interior is excellent, always under seat covers, mats, towels. very good condition. Dash has some tacky spots, a problem I hear with these cars. Speaking of which.
Leaking Oil from timing belt cover. Front brake rotors need turning.
Major maintenance performed (above and beyond the typical stuff):
2018 (a mere 8,000 miles ago): Timing belt and serpentine belt, crankshaft and camshaft seals.
2014: O2 and bank sensors, engine and trans/transaxle mounts, alternator, serpentine belt.
2013: Charcoal cannister, valve cover gaskets, new radiator.
Please inquire, ask questions ,etc. However, I will not be able to meet until Wednesday February 9th or thereafter.
