Vehicle Description
A 2001 Mazda 626 with 198k miles on it. I bought it a year and a half ago and it’s been incredibly reliable. I think it had good owners most of its life.
A few cons you should be aware of:
1. No power steering because the pump broke. Quite a pricy fix.
2. Tires are getting to the tread limit and would need replacement soon.
3. Biggest problem: has rod knocking so to drive it to a place like Spokane would not be wise.
On the bright side, it had had rod knocking ever since I got it and it has never been a problem (I have only ever driven it around Moscow/Pullman).
Pros:
1. Very reliable (so far). It has always started, no problem there.
2. Perfect for driving around town, should last you some good time.
3. The body is in good shape for its age.
Overall, it’s an old car, plenty of miles on it, a few major cons, but still a reliable car. I would keep it because it has reliability value but little else. But I recently got another car so I have no need for it. Also, trying to get rid of it so I will take $500 OBO.
