Vehicle Description
This Boxster checks all the boxes.
* IMS fixed with L&N.
* Stock - no crazy fiddling.
* Manual transmission - fun and fast.
* PSM (Porsche stability management). This is essential and hard to find (see below for more info).
* Low miles.
* 18" Porsche Turbo twist wheels and good tires (wider, more rubber on the road).
* Sport suspension (Quite rare even for an "S"). You buy a Boxster for cornering - get the best.
* Sport Seats
* Glass rear window in the convertible top (which is in good shape - 303 water repellent treated).
* Well maintained - purrs like a kitten, until you hit the gas.
* All the things that are annoying to fix and are almost always wrong fixed (New starter key sock, doors sensors.).
* Comes with an extra set of 17" Porsche alloy wheels set up for wider tires than stock Boxster.
The interior is in good shape. Aftermarket radio and amp.
The exterior is not perfect. The bumper's paint is so so, there are dents on the drivers' side (small, parking on the street).
We call it the perfect urban sports car because it's fast, nimble, economical, and you don't worry about parking.
We've found parts and repairs to affordable (except for the clutch). There are so many Boxsters out there. Great support and built tough. Price reflects the exterior dents. Buy a car you can enjoy.
Only light is the airbag light - don't know why. I put a new one in and have not reset it (don't know how).
Note on PSM. Most models don't have this. It's great. You can feel it saving you when you push too hard. It's telling you to settle down. Sports cars are fun until you find yourself in a ditch or wrapped around a tree. Rain, leaves. buy a Boxster with PSM for piece of mind. PSM isn't like other stability controls. It does not slow you down by being a annoying nanny - more the opposite. I think it's built to add stability to help you to go fast safely. I saw an awesome youtube video where Japanese reviewed a 911 Turbo with and without PSM. They hired famous race car drivers that were faster with PSM - their comment was the first time they experienced this.
The driving experience is hard to beat.
Updated, based on a flurry of questions:
1) Vin loaded I'm not sure if WPO or WP0
2) Recent maintenance?
Clutch and flywheel in last ~ 4K miles.
Water pump and thermostat - few drips of antifreeze, so I changed it.
Other normal stuff. (oil changes and so on).
