Vehicle Description
Firm price, just fishing here. 6% production, 20psi turbo, Larger Intercooler. Clear NM title. The most beat up, dressed up GM 2900 you have ever seen. I’m a mechanical engineer by degree, former aircraft mechanic former Saab tech. If you don’t know what these cars are about, do your research and proceed with caution.
Selling because I want to raise money to buy a friends motorcycle. Basically selling for what I have invested.
Genuine SAAB Taliaferro performance:
Larger Intercooler
3 inch diameter turbo down pipe
Steering/ Body stiffeners
Air filter box
Rear sway bar
In my past year of ownership I have replaced the oil pan seal (aircraft sealant), front main seals, fuel filter, MAF, throttle body, water pump, some steering suspension components. A/C compressor is new but not working, I think I doubled up the seals (easy fix) Comes with new A/C dryer. These cars love to lose their front bumpers. Mines held on with steel wire. Sunroof works great, side windows need new rollers (easy, cheap fix). Two of the original wheels remain. From the MAP I’m reading about 32 psi (absolute pressure) Live data is a great feature on the code reader. No Check engine lights. It feels like about 320 lb ft torque to the wheels. This model was supposed to be an M3 contender but with an open differential and front wheel drive lol.
The car could benefit from a trionic 7 (that’s the ECU) tune or just alcohol and 100LL AV gas. That works well also. Give it the beans and 215 tires in front will chirp in 3rd gear on a cool day. The hatch is huge. Interior is nice leather with driver middle torn seat. At 110 mph, the car feels stable and displays no abnormal vibration. ECU limited to 140 mph. Correct slotted brake rotors are new all around.
This car started it’s life in the northeast- it’s a rust-bucket. Then it proceeded to El Paso to get beat on by Texas hail (and an angry ex wife?)
All gauges work
Fresh synthetic oil change
147,000 miles.
