Vehicle Description
This car is most likely going to be a parts car. I have been buying early 2000 subarus and using parts from my past cars to fix them. however, I have purchased a non subaru and need to get rid of this car. THE CAR STILL RUNS. The biggest problem is it needs someone with knowledge of the engine to work on it. There is oil/fluid leaking onto the pistons (the car isn't ever low on oil, so the leak is negligible in that sense, just dripping slowly onto some coils/pistons) which is causing some misfire issues when starting the car after a few days. I haven't really gotten it looked at much because I have been in the market for a new car since 2019 and have been trying to get rid of it since then.
Here's what else needs to be fixed:
Front brakes (rear is good, did them a few months ago)
Tire alignment
As mentioned before, the engine does occasionally misfire upon start up, but it hasn't ever had trouble starting, or running. You may want to get the engine looked at eventually, but it runs fine right now.
On top of this, there is room for some cosmetic improvements, there is a few scratches and dents here and there, but nothing affecting the performance of the car, and it honestly still looks pretty good after almost 20 years of daily driving. There is also some rust on the frame. The only thing it needs to be a reliable driver is front brakes and maybe a tire alignment if you were planning on traveling with this car (which it can do). Everything else is working and running as far as I can see, it just needs someone to part it out or someone who knows more about engines than I do to fix engines issues.
The biggest work I've had done to this car is the having the rear sub frame replaced. I have 2 extra tires that come with this car. The tires are all season and are good to go for at least another year if not more. Transmission, tie, rear brakes, electrical, controls, radio, everything else is working as well as the day I bought this car
I can drive it to you if you're in the greater portland area.
**LOOKING FOR $800 OBO**
Email/text preferred, but you can call if you'd like to.
