Used 2002 Subaru outback Sport for sale in Arcata, CA

I’m planning to move and figured it’s about time to lighten the load.

It’s a 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport 2.5L w/165k miles. It’s an AWD, 5 speed manual, with a clean title, power windows and locks, cruise control, A/C, roof basket rack, and a Kenwood stereo (CD and USB).

The car was in a fender bender in 2020 which left the front panel on the driver’s side a little banged up/rusty (see pic). We used the opportunity to replace the front steering and suspension on both sides. This included new cv axels, strut/coil assemblies, tie rods, rack and pinion bellows, ball joints, brake pads and caliper (passenger side). The interior is clean aside from a rip in the driver’s seat.

New tires, thermostat, water pump, and timing belt in November 2019 @ circa 150k miles.

Things to be addressed:
It has a check engine code for catalytic converters performance and for cylinder 3 misfire. My mechanic said the former is likely due to an O2 sensor and the latter means the valve cover gaskets need to be replaced. It will not pass smog until the check engine light is addressed.

I don’t have time to spiff up the car but it’s a fun, zippy thing. So I’m selling it AS IS. We can coordinate on getting it to a shop for a thorough evaluation if you would like, but the bill is on you. $3800 obo. *I will wash and remove the decals prior to sale.
