Vehicle Description
Great Eurovan that needs a new transaxle (transmission). We were driving between Denver and LA when the transmission went out. It is currently not drivable other than around the driveway and onto a flatbed for towing. Since transmissions can be a bit finicky on Westys, we thought that this might be a nice opportunity to discount the price by the cost of the transmission (we had a cash offer four months ago at $20,000) and let the new owner control the quality and the parts of the new transmission. We are on the schedule for a newly rebuilt transmission installation with a a year warranty and a completion date of January 2023 but wanted to make it available in case someone wanted to own it sooner at a steep discount.

Great Eurovan Weekender with lots of extras. Hard mounted roof rack with Yakima Box, 2" tow hitch with a bike rack. Front passenger swivel seat to face rearwards when the car is parked. Lots of extra Westy parts: extra rear-facing seat, mini-refrigerator drawer, mosquito netting, etc.
For those not familiar with the Weekender, it's the best of both world in the Volkswagen Van lineup. It has a pop-up camper top that sleeps two, a fold-out bench seat that sleeps another two, a collapsible side table, and a couple of rear-facing seats. You get the extra space without carrying a kitchen around wherever you go. It's a fantastic van for weekend excursions.
It's never been in an accident and runs well. The interior and exterior are in "good" condition with a few bumps and bruises, but overall looks and runs great.
CarFax report is available for interested parties.
