Used 2002 Volkswagen VW New Beetle TDI for sale in Encinitas, CA

Selling our 2002 New Beetle TDI as we recently went electric.

Metallic silver with gray interior and leather seats. Clean title.

It's in great shape, with only a few scratches here and there.
The usual issues with this model year (interior!) have been taken care of:
- Replaced door handles (one piece aluminum handles attached to the door frame!)
- Tidied up door panels
- Replaced speakers (front and rear)
- New driver side door lock (no more central door lock / alarm issues)
- Replaced headliner
- Replaced center console

Mechanically it's been very well taken care of and it only has ~148000 miles on the clock. This is nothing, considering the famous ALH TDI engine consistently goes well beyond the 300000 mark.
The timing belt (and EGR valve, and water pump) was replaced only 20000 miles ago, so it's good to go for another 100k!
In total we invested more than 5k in this car - see detailed list below.

This is a fantastic commuter that regularly gets 35-45 mpg, even in city driving.

Goodies:
- Pioneer stereo with Infinity & Pyle speakers. Stereo has bluetooth (connect your iPhone) and hands-free calling with microphone next to sun visor
- 17" TSW alloy wheels with hub clips, 225/45 tires. Tires have good tread, front ones just replaced recently
- Sunroof (no leaks)

Everything is working except for:
- Heated seats
- A/C (needs new compressor)

Cosmetic things:
- Door panels are not perfect, eventually the fabric will need to be replaced (this is an issue with all Beetles, unfortunately)
- Tear in side padding of driver's seat (has been like this since we bought it)
- Small cut in rear bumper
- Faded paint on fuel latch and on top of front bumper (not very noticable)
- Couple other minor scratches

Just has been smogged without any issues.
