Vehicle Description

• 5.3L V8 engine (cover removed for photo)
• Automatic transmission
• 209k miles
• BF Goodrich T/A KO2 all-terrain tires (mud+snow marking), great for winter and off-road driving. Bought new last year for $800 and driven ~3000 miles
• 2017 replaced battery, brake pads and rotors; 2019 replaced O2 sensor, purge valve, wiper blades, spark plugs and wires
• Mileage: 14 in town, 19 on highways
• Third row of seats removed to accommodate more storage and reduce weight
• Fastidiously maintained with filters and fluids done every 5000 miles
• Clean and conditioned leather seats
• Like driving a La-Z-Boy on wheels
REMOVABLE SLEEPING PLATFORM
• 80x40x8 inches. Made in two pieces. Main piece is 64.5in long; smaller is 14.5, can be stacked on other platform piece and enables use of rear passenger seats without removing entire platform
• 24x40in piece of plywood for work surface on piano hinges to better access storage space beneath
• Mattress: Milliard, twin XL, 6-inch, tri-fold memory foam with washable cover. Memory foam is a fantastic insulating base to have a warm sleep on cold nights.
• 78x38x6in
• Tri-fold mattress makes accessing cooking surface or use of rear passenger seats very easy
• Comfortable and spacious enough to induce night-time narcolepsy for one person (or two very close friends)
EXTRA ADVENTURE GEAR
• 8 custom-cut Reflectix window panels for insulation/privacy. One side covered in matte black fabric so it looks just like black-out tint from the outside
• Jump leads
• Long reach snow brush and ice scraper
• Two-gallon rectangular water jug with easy-pour spigot
• Two long storage tubs that fit width of spaces under platform
• Two-burner propane stove
• Lonely Planet guidebook to the USA
• Portable USB fan with in-built hook/stand
• GoPro dash mount
• Bluetooth FM transmitter for the very best in wireless podcasts or funky beats from your phone
I built this out to be my ultimate adventure machine but I'm moving overseas so now it’s time for someone else to load it up with some ice fishing gear or winter camping equipment and go exploring. From blizzards to deserts, this thing can handle any terrain you care to point it at. The 'burb eats up the miles without a worry while being as comfortable as Grandma’s couch and has enough storage space and room to carry you and your friends to some rad places. Happy to sell the car/sleeping platform + gear separately.
