Used 2003 Crown Victoria LX Sport for sale in Dodgeville, WI

Also known as the 'poor man's Marauder'. The limited production Sport model shows Ford's success from 2002 to 2006 in matching the front end power, performance and handling of its durable Police Interceptor model to the luxury, full leather comfort and rear air suspension ride of the Lincoln Town Car.

In 2003 Ford increased the Sport's horsepower, upgraded the brakes and body structure for safety and a more stable ride, and improved steering response with rack-and-pinion components replacing the steering gearbox of earlier models. This car is fast, smooth, and very comfortable.

A 4.6 liter single-overhead-cam electronically fuel-injected V8, producing 239 horsepower, delivers 287 footpounds of torque to the 3.27 rear axle through a four speed automatic transmission equipped with overdrive. EPA estimates combined city/highway fuel economy at 22 mpg.

The reliable Crown Victoria through 2011 was the last of the sedans with an easy to fix body-on-frame platform. It's ample interior dimensions are paired with a huge trunk.

It has cruise control, heated mirrors, dual front airbags, power windows and locks, and eight-way power seat controls with electronic lumbar control for both the driver's and passenger's seatbacks. The ac and heater work well.

I bought this car from a county fleet in August of 2017 with 174,685 miles on it. The county bought it from a Ford dealer in 2008 at 92,710 miles. I'm unaware of the prior history.

Upon purchase I changed the oil. I also had the fluids in the transmission and rear differential changed. I've always stored this car in a garage and driven it every month or two, but never in snow or salt.

I had a new battery and all new brakes installed 100 miles ago. About five miles ago I installed four new tires, with road hazard protection and free lifetime rotation by Walmart transferable to the next owner.

There are no leaks and everything works. I'm selling it because I found a Sport in a color combination I like better.
