Vehicle Description
Nice truck, I always wanted a 4x4, bought this baby a few months ago after looking for a long time, and spent time fixing everything that was needed. I put on new timing belt with tensioner, water pump, alternator, lots more. It has all the options for that year, and everything works. I added a back up camera, tire pressure monitoring system better than the factory one that came with it, which still works fine too, just doesn't show each tire's pressure constantly like the one I put in. It has 178k miles, which is not bad. I looked at some with over 300k that still ran great, and still had original cv joints and boots even.
These are nice, and hard to find. There are two right now at Garners Motors listed on here that are NOT 4x4, have about the same miles, no roof rack, etc., and they are asking $8K for each. Same year. The 4x4 is perfect, has auto-locking hubs, and manually shift in and out of 4x4, so you can put the transfer case in neutral. This is great if you want to tow it behind a motorhome! Which is/was my plan also. The newer ones do not have a true neutral where you can tow them. Nothing since 2005. It is automatic transmission, but still has the manual lever to select 4x4 choices, 2 high(normal driving), 4x4 high, NEUTRAL, 4x4 low. You can not get this anymore! Motor and transmission are super smooth.
Reason for selling, just not going to use it. I've put maybe a thousand miles on it since finished, it runs great, drives great, no leaks at all, no problems. It's just sitting, and it needs a new home. We are not doing the motorhome thing like we hoped. AC is cold, heat is hot, has nice stock alloy wheels with Michelin tires. It is the XE 4x4, top of the line. I have three sets of keys with remotes on all. Locking fiberglass bed cover on it also.
If you are interested, reply through Craigslist, I will call you asap, and answer any questions.
Thanks!
