Vehicle Description
Testing the waters here, as I really love this car and would only consider selling to move to a 997, or perhaps a Turbo.
I am the 4th owner of this fantastic 2003 Targa, with 6-speed manual. It is in excellent condition, and has a clean and clear title. No accidents, no bodywork of any sort. My Targa has 82k miles, which is certainly low for the year, but the engine was replaced in 2009 by Porsche at 41k miles with a brand-new OEM late-model M96 3.6L engine, so this engine has 41k miles on it. All receipts are included which document this engine replacement, as well as the rest of the service history. The color is Seal Gray Metallic over Graphite supple leather interior. After purchase, the original owner upgraded to a Porsche Carbon fiber steering wheel, shifter, parking brake, instrument bezels, and radio surround, all OEM parts and installed by the Porsche dealership.
Includes the following tasteful upgrades:
- 997 Turbo wheels, refinished and like new, with good tires.
- 18mm spacers on front wheels for improved stance.
- Evolution Motorsport intake (sounds fantastic!)
- 997 Short-shift kit for improved throws.
- Evolution Motorsport ECU tune. (Includes flashing device to return to stock, if desired.)
- Pioneer CD/DVD radio with Apple CarPlay (works with stock BOSE system; original radio included.)
- Porsche frunk liner.
Well-maintained, with recent services of oil, filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, battery. Brakes and clutch replaced within the last 15k. Adult-owned, never tracked. All service records going back to the original owner are included. California car (I purchased and drove it home from the Sacramento area) until my ownership in Oregon. Always garaged, including by the prior owners of 12 years.
This is a wonderful car in every way. It sounds amazing, looks beautiful, drives like a dream, corners incredibly, and has the additional bonus of the Targa roof which nicely splits the difference between Coupe and Cabriolet. While not exactly a unicorn, these Targas are fairly uncommon, and more often than not seem to have the Tiptronic transmission. At PCA events and drives, I have never seen another of this vintage!
Serious inquiries only….
