Sticker is up end of October. I’ve had it a year and it’s been a great find for me. Below are the details on the car.
3 owners including me! Old red is a battle wagon, my daily driver currently. Hatchback with fold down seats, tons of camping space. Starts and runs superbly and of course it is all wheel drive. NO dashboard lights on! :)
I’m open to having it looked over to see what it might need (if anything) for a new sticker this year, but the car is in pretty awesome shape for a 20 year old vehicle. Nothing perfect about the car but no glaring issues either and it’s somehow under 200k miles.
The Good:
Tires almost new! After market radio system, brand new exhaust system, the steering, engine, and transmission are all in great shape currently. Good on gas for an old car! I’d guess 20-24 per gallon based on what I’ve seen. TWO overhead sunglass cubbies. Large dashboard storage compartment. Has very low amount of rust for an older car, tons of life left! Heater and fans are all set. AC works too but could use a recharge next summer.
The Okay:
Interior (minor stains) brakes (not an immediate need but they aren’t new), a little loud while running but nothing major (slight rattle, axle noise), door seals are noisy on the highway (but they definitely don’t leak, thankfully), no sunroof or power chairs. Rusty looking hub caps but they’re the original wheels so what can you do. Maybe has a tiny oil leak as I can sometimes smell it after driving long distance, but i’ve had her between oil changes now and it’s never been low on oil level so not a huge deal. Tiny crack in windshield, not enough to need a new one though.
The Bad:
Has a key stuck in its ignition. Like It’s really in there. This can be easily replaced with a new ignition switch and you could have another key made, but it’s the condition that I got the car and I never fixed it. There is a spare key that I keep on me to lock the car, but please just be aware of this!
Drivers side front window has just stopped working. I have already purchased a new motor for it and can potentially get the work done for you presale, or if you’re a mechanic/ you want to do it yourself, great!
If you’ve made it this far, please give me a shout to talk. A few more details on the car:
After market JVC radio (pictured) is a nice touch. Car has working cruise control and fog lights, all blinkers and lights are good, hand brake operates. All wheel drive and great in snow. I replaced some power steering hose parts to fix a recent leak, has been 3 months since and it’s working great currently.
Any other questions, text (don’t call) show contact info . It’s easier for me while screening buyers. If the post is up, it’s available. Thank you!
