Vehicle Description
For Sale - 2003 VW Golf GTI with 154,000 miles on odometer. I purchased the vehicle in April 2019, with the intent of using it for local transportation and light off-roading. Unfortunately, I am getting reassigned and moving out of state for work.
Mechanically, this GTI is strong. When I purchased the car, I had GT Peace Automotive in Chantilly, VA, a speciality VW shop, do a complete overhaul of the car's mechanics in order to return this GTI to stock reliability. I have complete service records of all the work that was completed. (Can be provided upon request.). This GTI is now very reliable and I would not hesitate to take it on a long road trip.
Exterior and interior are in fair condition, but could use a professional detail if you wanted to really improve the overall appearance. Interior has leather seats; however, previous owner allowed the seats to wear and rip. I have installed leather seat covers (included with sale). Headliner is also sagging, as is common on MK IV GTIs.
Headlights were recently restored, recent oil change completed July 2019, and new Bosch spark plugs and ignition coils installed. Virginia Inspection current until May 2020.
Vehicle is slightly lifted on springs (professionally installed) in order to accommodate the newly mounted off-road wheels and tires. If you have no interest in using this GTI off-road, springs can easily be removed in order to return to stock height.
Asking $3600 cash OBO. Motivated seller...all reasonable offers will be considered.
