Vehicle Description
Up for sale is my 2004 Acura TL. Our family has owned this car since 69k miles. I have driven this car all over Alabama the last few years for work. Car now has 286k miles and still runs strong. AC works. Heat works. Still gets 29 mpg the way it sits right now.
Paint looks good from 20 feet away. Could use a new front bumper cover. Paint has 286k worth of imperfections. If you want a car that looks brand new, this is not the car for you.
Oil changed every 7,500 miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic. Does not burn oil. Does leak a little around valve cover and drain plug. Both pretty easy fixes. Parts less than $50. Is ready for a timing belt change. Parts for change with water pump is around $250. Needs a new air filter hose for $15 at Rock Auto. Mechanically the car is good to go. Again, car has 286k miles.
Tires are decent. Brakes are decent. Could use a suspension refresh to restore new ride quality. A front suspension rebuild kit is around $750. Car is absolutely fine to drive as is.
Interior is decent. Dash is cracked like all other TL of this generation. Drivers seat bottom cushion is torn. Heated seats still work.
Audio system is bad. Multiple speakers are blown, but they are all there and work. I wore AirPods.
Windshield needs replaced.
If the car was perfect, it would be worth $5,500 to $6,000. I am asking $4,000 for mine. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. Two 5 six, 2 zero O 5 eight oh for. I will not negotiate through text or by phone. I will negotiate with cash in person.
This is a good cheap commuter car or first car for someone wanting to fix something up. Parts are cheap and it’s easy to work on.
Will meet any buyers at Southside Family Pharmacy.
