Vehicle Description
Quality Pre-owned Autos
Fully Serviced & Inspected
All vehicles have been fully serviced and passed a thorough inspection.
2004 Acura TL
3.2L VTEC V6, 5 speed auto transmission with manual shift feature.
Vehicle history:
This 2004 Acura TL was a very well-maintained vehicle that we obtained because it needed a new engine due to a timing belt failure (counterfeit Honda timing belt that snapped). We replaced the engine and performed a complete vehicle inspection, repairing the issues we found - see below for details. Purchasing a car with a newly replaced engine is advantageous because all items in the engine compartment have been inspected and worn items replaced, as well as getting fresh fluids and gaskets.
Features/Condition:
• Immaculate condition inside & out, and mechanically. Super clean. Smoke-free. No odors/stains.
• Everything works, including heated seats. Leather interior.
• Lots of servicing just done - see details below. Full vehicle inspection just done.
• Newer tires - @ 8/32" (approximately 70% of life remaining).
• No leaks.
• Good heat & A/C.
• No trouble codes / dash lights on.
• Sunroof.
• 6-disc CD changer
The engine was recently replaced, has less miles (210,000), has a new timing belt and lots of new gaskets - intake, coolant, oil pan, valve cover, and other gaskets - no leaks on vehicle. Valve clearance/lash adjusted.
Additional servicing performed / new parts recently installed:
• Engine/trans: Aisin thermostat, fresh coolant, engine air filter, cabin air filter, serpentine belt, engine oil & filter, several engine/transmission mounts, transmission torque converter seal, transmission filter, most of the trans fluid is new (4.5 qts.).
(The other engine timing components, including the water pump, have 20K or less miles and are an Aisin kit - made in Japan.)
• Adjusted parking brake (brakes have plenty of life left).
• Wheel alignment just done.
• Lights all work (everything works!)
• Headlamps just resurfaced (look new!).
• Right front door lock actuator replaced.
• Hood struts replaced.
• Front sway bar links.
• Paint touched up.
The starter and power steering pump were replaced within the past few years.
The only 2 flaws this car has is:
• One bubbling paint area at the right rear wheel well (due to rust) - see picture, and a few very small rust spots that have been sanded and touched up with paint. So no visible rust. This vehicle was originally purchased in Texas when new, and has low rust for its age.
• The engine has a ticking sound at idle - not very loud. It does not make that sound while driving it. The valve clearances are adjusted correctly, and this sound is coming from either the camshaft or rocker arm - it sounds like it's coming from the location of cylinder #2. It's been confirmed to not be coming from the lower end (rods, bearings, piston), so repairing would not be as expensive. However, it's not loud enough to address it; does not need to be repaired.
Clean title.
Cash only - no financing available.
Closed Saturdays.
