Vehicle Description
Awesome car, but needs the right owner:
2004 (B6) Audi S4
4.2L V8
Manual Transmission
120,000 on odometer, 25k on new motor.
I bought it with a broken timing chain guide - I bought it with a broken timing chain guide -> broken valve and 95k miles.
I put in a brand new factory motor ($20k manufacturer price).
While doing that I installed:
- New front control arms
- Rebuilt Axles
- New A/C condenser
- New performance motor mounts (034 motorsports) and snub mount
- New front control arms
- New alternator
- New sway bar links
- New clutch slave cylinder
- New clutch / flywheel
- New performance brakes (hawk rotors and either hawk or ebc pads)
I'm parting ways with it because it needs repairs and with 2 young kids, I don't have the time to give it the TLC it needs:
- Front lower control arms need to be replaced
- Front left tire is leaking air (might just need to reset the bead, tread is fine)
- Passenger motor mount needs replacement
- Exhaust is split and needs weld or cat-back. It broke from the center support and split the pipes.
- Engine runs great, but it's having a power issue (it bucks when accelerating hard out of 2nd), guessing it's either not getting enough air or fuel is the guess.
- A/C compressor is shot
- Interior has a few pieces in need of attention
I have the old motor on a stand which you can have. I also saved a lot of old parts that you can have:
- Some control arms
- 8 coil packs
- Timing chains and guides
- Axles
- Definitely a box of other crap
Other than that, it still runs and drives. A quick project for someone that could turn it back into an awesome ride.
Asking $4200 obo.
