To begin I want to say that this is a car for someone who wants an e46 m3 that was properly maintained and recently gone over with all issues addressed. This is a car for someone who values their time and does not want to spend time at shops getting stuff fixed or reading diy forum posts and fixing stuff themselves. If you are a busy person and simply want an investment grade e46 m3 without issues that you can drive immediately without any worries or hassle, this is the car for you. I also want to mention that this is my 7th M-car and second e46 m3 (e92 m3, e93 m3, e46 m3, z3m coupe, z4m coupe, e36 m3), so I know these cars in and out and also know their prices. My last pre-lci, same mileage, worse body, hairline cracked subframe e46 m3 sold for $18,000 so this is a great deal considering the condition, maintenance, and spec. These cars are quickly going up in value, so get them while you still can afford one. You will not lose money on this car.

Onto the car now:

This is a 2004 so it has the updated LCI taillights, rod bearings, RTABS, shift linkage, subframe bolts, etc. You cab tell by the undercarriage photos I have provided in the link below. There is zero corrosion on bolts, radiator, engine. No salt has touched this car. The car is Silver and has black leather with cloth insert interior which is rare. The paint is in really good shape and is all original, body panels are original as well. Interior is in good shape too. The manual leather shift knob has been changed not too long go so it barely has any wear. The windows are tinted. All rubber trim is in fantastic shape. Based on condition of the undercarriage, I don't think the car was driven in the winter at all. The previous owner for a fact didn't drive it in the winter. He owned it since 2011 and 50k miles.

Maintenance the last 15k-25k miles:

- transmission mounts
- motor mounts
- high pressure steering hose ($$ expensive)
- windshield rubber cowl
- rear quarter panel rubber trim
- finisher side rubber trim ($$ expensive)
- subframe reinforced (preventative)
- poly differential and subframe bushings were out in then too

Fluids were periodically changed (PO had a lift in this garage). While I did the work mentioned below, I sprayed some german rust proofing so that is what the brown stuff is. Also, the chassis is coated with thin airplane anti corrosion film. It’s this thin oil that will keep the chassis rust free in case you get caught in the rain. All of you airplane enthusiasts know what I am talking about.
Just done:
- valve adjustment
- differential input shaft seal (along with locking plate and driveshaft seal)
- differential fluid flush
- oil change
- engine oil drain plug
- brake flush
- oil pump cover gasket and bolts
- power steering reservoir hoses and cap o-ring
- power steering fluid flush
- driveshaft was re-greased at the time that input shaft seal was done
- section 3 to mid-pipe exhaust donut gasket
