Vehicle Description
I am the original owner of this great truck. It runs better than it did when it was new. I have upgraded all of the factory flaws these trucks have from the factory. I really dont want to sell it but I had to buy a new one for tax reasons. Seats are ripped and carpet needs some cleaning but other than that its a super clean truck. I will take DECENT OFFERS.
The reason I put 2004.5 is because mid year 2004 the duramax engine was changed to the LLY from the previous LB7 engine that had Injector issues. I know because I had one of those also. This engine has never had those issues.
205000 mostly highest miles going to L.A and back. It will tow anything you put behind it and still get decent fuel mileage. No D.E.F required.
List of upgrades and service.
Front suspension upgraded about 10 years ago. Steering box, a-arms Tie rods. Steering knuckles.
Upgraded the entire cooling system about 4 years ago because the factory system was flawed. Heavy duty Mishimoto aluminum radiator, heavy duty Trans cooler, heavy duty non slip water pump. Hoses, fan clutch and thermostats.
I have replaced the front bearing hubs 3 times over the years and they went out again this year so I just upgraded to the SKF 12,500 GVWR Rated hubs that go on the tow trucks. What a difference on how the truck handles now. This truck should of had these when it was new.
Tires replaced earlier this year.
Brakes completely redone last year Front Rotors, Rear drums, rear bearing, Parking brake redone and the cable assembly .
Power steering completely redone about 3 years ago.
Just had a new alternator put in last month and new Air conditioning hoses, seals and new freon. The air is super cold.
Batteries about 2 years old.
Drive line rebalanced with new carrier bearing and u-joints last year.
All fluids changed last month and I had a deeper trans pan put in and new filters.
Just had the headliner re-lined last week.
