Vehicle Description
*Edit again. Different pictures added to better show condition of truck for those who have asked. Body is very straight, just has some scratches. This isn't a "winter beater" truck. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but I want to make sure the truck is accurately described.
Also, the transfer case got replaced because this style truck uses a transfer case which has a common problem called "pump rub". Do a google search for "GM pump rub" and it will make sense. Remanufactured transfer cases use a kit which eliminates this problem from happening again.
2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 regular cab long box. Very clean interior. 5.3 V8 with automatic transmission. 3.73 gears with limited slip. Towing package. Roughly 92,000 miles. Dark gray color. Body has minimal rust for year. Truck runs and drives very nice.
Many new parts-
GM intermediate steering shaft and bushing
Front and rear brakes and calipers
Brake line kit
Both front hub assemblies
Driver side window regulator
Delphi fuel pump
Year old battery
A/C belt and tensioner
Fresh oil change
Remanufactured transfer case with GM Auto Trac II fluid
Mobil 1 gear oil in front and rear diff
Issues with truck-
-Truck looks good now, but with a buff job it would look very nice. It has a fair amount of scratches in the paint. I can explain better with interest.
-The person who installed the brake line kit threaded one of the lines in crooked underneath, so a fitting leaks brake fluid. The brakes still work fine, it will need to be addressed though.
-Every now and then the information center says to tighten the fuel cap. Guessing it needs a new fuel cap.
Good running truck with a lot of life left in it. I'm selling a few things to buy a newer vehicle.
