Vehicle Description
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee · Suv ·
2004 grand Cherokee. 4.7L, recent Engine damage. Dropped the #2 valve seat, and damaged the piston.
We Rebuilt engine at 225,000 miles. It Ran like a Sewing machine since.
It died, then ran real rough and hard to start. Checked codes, replace #2 injector, also had a CSPS code so replaced it. Then found #2 valve seat came loose from head
Head will need replaced min and possible the piston.
Full maintenance records. Recently Replaced fuel tank skid and rear wiper motor, rear shocks.
All electronic windows moon roof and locks work. New tires last year. Brakes, calipers, steering ball joints, rear sway bar, etc etc etc.
I bought this as a project to work on with my son. It had a connecting rod knock. We pulled the engine and a complete rebuild. We've keep it well maintained and it was my primary vehicle. The complete suspension was replaced.
It had a solenoid pack replaced in the tranny, and a new torque converter a year or so ago.
This would make a great project car to work on.
I have about 4000 in parts and 90% was our labor.
