Used 2004 Jeep Liberty 3 7 L 4x4 for sale in Vancouver, OR

Runs. Engine has slight knock. No dents. Excellent interior, driver seat has had the same size hole since I purchased the jeep 2018. All maintenance has been kept up including oil, transmission, differentials, A/C, brakes, etc. Was planning to install new shocks… engine had other plans for me…

Only thing I can figure why the engine started knocking… 2-1/2 months ago I changed the water pump, radiator & hoses, a/c intercooler, and the thermostat… when putting back on the thermostat housing I broke the top bolt off in the engine. Had to take it to a shop to have the engine lifted and the bolt extracted. In doing this they took off the front of the engine and replaced all front seals, and did an oil change. Three weeks ago driving down the freeway Jeep started to lose power and the knock started. Pulled off to the shoulder and got towed to my works shop. Found that there was virtually no oil in the engine… nearly half quart of the 4.5 quart there ought to have been. I never saw oil spots after being parked and was within the timeframe for oil change, so I never thought to check it… oil went somewhere though, but that where is unknown.

I don’t have the time nor the want to fix the engine. Selling to get myself a runner car.

As Liberty is hard to find in good condition, this would make an excellent parts vehicle! Or great vehicle with lots of life left it it if you can do engine work.

I have the Carfax report from when I purchased the vehicle March 2017, and a hand written log showing every date and mileage of ALL gas and maintenance that has gone into it since I purchased it. Dusty inside and out from gravel roads. Some scratches here and there from tree branches. Has been dog's second home, but I'm fairly good at cleaning so no terrible smells.

$1200 firm. Not in a hurry to sell. Must transfer into your name, cash only, you pick up. Suggest trailering/towing to where it can be repaired/parted out as the engine is knocking.
