Vehicle Description
2004 Kia Optima Ex V6, Automatic Transmission.
Roughly 114,000 miles on the dashboard.
If this ad is still up it's because it's still available.
Only selling because I have a second car, and with COVID I'm not driving this one as much and would hate for it to sit through the winter. Asking price is on-par with its Kelly bluebook value (see attached photo)
As you can see below, over $4,000 was spent on this car to keep it running smoothly and comfortably the last couple of years.
Major works done to this car since 2018, with paperwork available:
September 2018 (@ 90,830 miles): 4 new Primewell tires with 40,000 warranty (130,000 miles) with receipt and warranty information + front brake pads changed.
March 2019: Upgraded radio to JVC KW-V850BT ($400, photos included)--compatible with Android and Apple phones.
April 2019: Tune-up (all new spark plugs, wires, crank sensor, manifold set), new water pump, serpentine belt, timing belt and harmonic balance ($1,400)
July 2019: Installed new AC Compressor, recharged and updated the system ($1,150)
November 2020: Brand new Optima Red Top battery ($200), Rear brake job: two new rear pads, rotors, and calipers ($580)
As with any older car, this car needs some TLC:
There are some rust spots at the rear wheel wells, some rusting on the door window frame from where the window vent used to sit, and some dents throughout the body with some signs of wear on the inside of the car (see photos).
The radio amplifier was removed several years ago because it was believed to be the cause of battery discharge, but it turned out that it was the factory radio itself, and the amplifier was never reinstalled (this can be taken to any local car audio place and looked at, I just never found the need). In the search of the mysterious battery discharge, in which hundreds of dollars were spent, an airbag was unplugged and plugged back in, so the light remains on. This too is not a safety concern, and has been inspected by Kia and never brought up as an issue (but they'll have no trouble charging you to clear it).
Despite the aforementioned quirks, this car is in great shape and doesn't throw any codes or dashboard lights.
Asking $3000, or best offer (no low-ballers since I'm in no rush to sell).
