Vehicle Description
2004 Subaru Forester with 193,000 miles. Automatic. Clean title.
Selling the car AS IS. It drives well, but there is a fuel line leak (see below). I am selling the car rather than repairing it because a family member gave me a Forester with fewer miles.
Good:
• 2019: New starter, new ignition coil, new front rotors and calipers, new front ball joints, new tires. New battery just put in. AC repaired and charged this summer.
• 2018: Catalytic converter replaced, new muffler.
• Drives well.
Not Good:
• There is a fuel line leak. It has not affected drive-ability, but it will need to be repaired. Parts
are not expensive, but labor time is unknown. My mechanic could not quote me a price due to unknown
labor time. The compromise is visible as small leak on outside of vehicle after driving. Appears at
connection between metal and flexible line.
• Rust consistent with what you'd find on a 2004 Forester in Minnesota.
Other info:
• Check Engine light has two codes: EVAP and CAT. EVAP code has been there since I purchased the
car. It has never caused problems. The CAT code appeared after the converter was replaced. It has been
checked by 3 shops and none of them thought it was an issue.
• All windows, wipers, radio/CD, AC and heat work.
• Subaru car mats, cargo cover and owner's manual included.
• Heated seat do not work.
Asking $2000 or best offer. Please e-mail or text. Questions welcome! Thank you.
