2005 Dodge Sprinter Van Camper Conversion 144wb[Mercedes Engine]
An affordable answer to the $200k InstaVans! Your dream is attainable and so worth pursuing.
I am selling my beloved 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van Camper Conversion 144wb[Mercedes Engine] due to a change in lifestyle for $25000. This van was custom-built for travels in the US and has been enjoyed thoroughly but other, more rooted, adventures now call to me.
Conversion & Van Sale Include:
• ARB 37 quart portable fridge or freezer with 12volt hookup
• weBoost Drive X Cell Phone Signal Booster: Snag a wifi hotspot and you’re set up with internet all over the country. The REAL way to work remotely ;)
• Massive Bed Space; A queen-size memory foam mattress converted to fold up into a couch or desk.
• Custom kitchenette and pantry with wood countertops
• MaxxAir Fan
• Overhead LED lighting
• Large sink with foot pump
• ARB 2500 8ft awning
• Two Windows
• Electric pantry and wiring were entirely done by a trained electrician of over 35 years. Wired to charge from both solar and the van engine. Separate from van battery.
• 320 watts Renogy solar [monocrystalline panels]
• 340AH AGM battery bank: I have worked remotely from this van for about a year now and have never once come even close to running out of power.
• 2000 watt PureSine inverter with 120VAC house plug
• Dual USB and 12v outlets
• Camping stove with 2 gas burner
• (2) 7 gallon water tanks
• Insulated floors, walls, and ceiling
• Plenty of storage & secret compartments. The open floor plan below the bed allows for paddle boards, bins for gear, or a furry friend.
These vans can last up to 400-500,000 miles if routine maintenance is kept up, which it always has been. Current Mileage is 175,xxx This van has new head gaskets, a new radiator, new tires, and new shocks. It’s also got the aluminum turbo resonator eliminator. The average mileage was 25mpg, the diesel engines run more efficiently compared to gas vehicles of the same size. In 2.5 years of full-time van life I only ever experienced one breakdown, when the radiator began leaking. Hence the replacement. There is a thriving online community of T1N owners who are very helpful in solving any issue that may come up. Additionally, my experience is that any competent diesel shop can work on these things. There is some rust on the body and some other minor aesthetic issues. I’ve done some spot abatement on the rust but the adventure was always more important to me than the looks. While some InstaVans can be found parked outside of the nearest Hilton, this is the kind of van that you find parked all week at the crag or perched up on a mountain. It’s a perfect home for those craving true adventure & freedom.
