Used 2005 Honda Civic Lx Special Edition for sale in Grayslake, IL

2005 Honda Civic Lx Special Edition. Manual transmission. Power windows, cruise control. 34 mpg highway, 27 mpg city, 30 mpg combined. Spare tire and jack stand. A/C works. I've owned the car since August 2017. Oil has been changed every 3,000-5,000 miles (last change was at 135000). Original owner used it to commute to school. I also used it primarily to commute to school so most miles are highway miles. This past week a lot of work done: Replaced front brake pads, front brake rotors, rear brake shoes, rear brake drums and new drum hardware. Replaced front lower ball joints, rear wheel bearing. New battery (not in picture, replaced after photos taken). About $1300 in repairs total. The mechanic says it could run another 100K miles now (take that with a grain of salt obviously, the point being that these Honda civics are famous for running a long time). Radio has AUX capabilities, 6 DVD holder.

Car was in one fender bender, mostly just a few chips as seen in the photos, one small dent on right front also in photos. Small bit of rust on right lower side as seen in photos. Tires still have life left in them (front left one had to be replaced from nail in it).

It really is a fantastic car. Besides the flat tire and the small fender bender I haven't had a single issue since owning it. Manual is a lot of fun to drive. It's very forgiving as well so good for beginners to learn. She's not the fastest on the block but she starts up every time, A/C works, heat works, comfortable ride, and awesome gas mileage. If you want a rock solid car that takes you where you need to go reliably and comfortably and you don't need anything flashy then she's the one for you.
