Vehicle Description
2006 Acura TSX
We are the original owners, we drove it off the lot with 17 miles on it at the dealer in Portland OR where we were living at the time. It has accompanied us in our journeys through Eden Prairie and now Rochester. Our daughter has had it for the last few years as she went through college.
We love this car, it drives as well as the day we bought it, not a speck of rust, clean title in hand.
Well maintained, regular oil and filter changes, I have all the records.
Heated leather seats, heated side mirrors, sun roof with spoiler, 6-CD changer. My daughter plugs in her iphone for music.
Timing chain, not belt.
Maintenance overview:
July ’20 – new starter, AC compressor & recharge, serpentine belt
Nov ’19 – rear brakes
Dec ’18 – new battery
May ’17 – 02 sensor, spark plugs
Sep ’16 – replace windshield
Tires are good for another couple years with average driving.
Demerits:
Passenger side window doesn’t roll down. She rarely had anyone else in the car so we never fixed it. Volume knob cover on the sound system is gone but volume adjustment still works fine.
“VSA” light comes on. The Vehicle Stability Sensor needs to be replaced. This is a feature that adjusts the brakes to improve high speed cornering. Not related to the antilock brake system.
We had two low-speed rear-enders in 2006 and 2007. Both times we took it to a very thorough body shop and they spared no expense fixing it. I have all the paperwork.
