130k - New spark plugs and ignition coils
I bought this car in 2010 with 37k miles on it. It has been my daily driver ever since, and i've put almost 120k miles on the car myself. This is the last model year of the E46 M3 in a great spec.
There have been no performance modifications done to this car, and it has never seen any track time. Most miles come from commuting to and from work, and of course some fun canyon driving (why else buy an M3?). Minor aesthetic mods include matte black grills all around, khoalty angel eyes, android head unit, F10 M5 shifter retrofit, and wrapped steering wheel with tri-color stitching.
This car has been maintained by either myself, Sinard at German Motors, or The Haus in Sherman Oaks. Both German Motors and The Haus are reputable independent BMW shops that understand the E46. When the car was under 100k, I followed oil change intervals per the manual. After 100k, oil has been changed out at 5k intervals with factory 10w60 and Mann filters.
I continue to drive this car daily, and it is extremely fun and reliable. In order to be fully transparent and not waste anyone's time, I want to stress this is a daily driver with 156k miles on it. There is wear and tear on the interior (mainly driver seat and center armrest as seen in pictures), as well as the expected paint chips from highway driving. The front bumper is scratched on the bottom as would be expected on a daily driver. There is also a small dent on the passenger side in front of the rear tire (pic included in link).
Mechanically, this car will benefit from a VANOS rebuild and valve adjustment in the near future to keep it running long and strong. There are no CELs.
