Vehicle Description
2006 Cadillac SRX, is the "is that a car, suv. station wagon, hurse" of the car world but Car and Driver’s included it in the Five Best Trucks “Luxury SUV” award in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Other reviews of the time said "SRX remains one of our top luxury choices in this class." if it were in excellent condition it could sell for over 7 grand. However it is not in excellent condition and therefore I will pass the savings onto you, kinda like you're getting it on sale. A brief History, I owned this vehicle for maybe 7 years. I bought this cadillac after much research on good vehicles for tall people. I am 6'5" and finding a car that I could fit in and drive comfortably was important. So 6 months after I purchased the SRX I put a new electronic break control module then 2 weeks later I ended up putting a brand new cadillac motor in it installed directly from Cadillac, She ran wonderfully for many years. I had it serviced and oil changed every 3 thousand miles. Yes the current Odometer reading is 166,244 but the new motor was installed around 80k miles, so it's like 86k miles on the motor. The miles that I put on are primarily highway miles. Features, this vehicle has 2 rows of leather wrapped seats, in some SRX's there are 3 rows but say no to hauling people because 2 rows are enough. Loosing that 3rd row means you get a whole bunch of storage, I can guarantee you if you were to buy a brand new SRX they wouldn't have this much storage. When you're rolling down the highway in the SRX you will not be sure if you're driving or floating on a cloud. This SRX model was only around from 2004-2009 then they redesigned it, making it smaller. They say you will get Driving this classic around you will see an average of 19-20mpg which isn't the worst mpg vehicle you could drive but then again it's a Cadillac. What do you get when you own the SRX

Now for the hard truths, as I stated earlier I this vehicle had a New Cadillac motor installed around 80k miles along with a new EBCM, here everything else that has been done since owning it.
4 years ago Driver and Passenger rear bearings, f/r breaks and calipers, 2020 New tires, New Battery, downstream 02 sensors (ordered up and down, the upstream were not the correct ones and they refused to take them back so they are in the glove box ). 2 Brand new Catalytic Converters cuz the were shot not cuz some tweeker with a saw crawled under it.
What is going on today: needs upstream 02 sensors, tie rod ends will need to be replaced soon, very recently it Started making a tumping bumping noise between front seats, believing it is the transmission.Im no car doctor but I stayed at a holiday in once. I have found used transmissions with a 1 year warranty for as low as $400. It really hasn't been driven once the bumpin thumpin started.
As far as the paint and body, there are surface marks, no massive dents but there is a small spot of rust on the driver side rear wheel well. I have never been in an accident with the SRX.
Why am I putting it on the market.well I'm no mechanic and I don't have the time to watch the YouTube videos, build a acceptable garage then do the work. So if you're someone who wants a luxury vehicle that floats down the highway with the feeling of a convertible but the safety of a truck and willing to put some elbow grease in it. This would be the perfect vehicle for you. Yes I am asking 2,000.00, I am open to offers or possible trades, currently looking for a nice topper for a 4th gen ram crew w/ 6'4 bed and a rear bumper. Heck I'm even open to if you wanna quote me a labor price to fix it. If you decide you want to buy it, I would suggest trailering it away, or you bring me a little cash, gold, boom sticks and I will be open to trailering it away. The license plates stay with me, we will goto the DMV to transfer the title and you can get new plates, so make sure you bring your papers for the Government. The used market is crazy right now, the values on vehicles keep on going up and up. fiv€ •oh☆ s€ven ~ five• fünf(5)• 6■ 7• zero ¿ two null{0}
