2002 Chevrolet Monti Carlo SS
V8 LS1
I just had the car serviced all new front rear brakes & rotors all new fluids brand new front struts.
There is one major problem with all the 2006 2007 Monti Carlo SS's
General Motors had a very weak transmission for the V8 pkg it was the same internal parts as the V6 car had so over time the V8 took a toll on the transmission all of them had problems .I had a fully build transmission done by Nicholls Performance in Grain Valley they do a ton of these transmissions for these cars I had all new parts installed stronger clutch packs new converter this transmission is built the way GM should have done it with a pkg.This was a $3500 transmission.
