Vehicle Description
I have a 2006 Land Rover LR3 with a 2009 L9H (all aluminum 6.2L LS from a Cadillac Escalade) and a 6L80E transmission bolted to an NP241C transfer case with a manual shift setup. It made 340HP at the wheels and 370 TQ on the dyno. It has custom billet driveshaft adapters and 1350 U-Joints. Front and rear diffs are dana 44 with 31 spline CV shafts and equipped with ARB lockers which work great. Every component on the front end is new. All arms, bushings, CV shafts, sway bar links, tie rods etc. Tracks and drives great. AC is a factory AC delco and tied to the original climate control system. It has 1.75" tubular headers with stainless steel exhaust tied to the factory system with V-Bands. The truck sounds excellent. There is a 4" intake adapted to the factory air box. It looks great in there. The truck has a total of 3.5" lift wit a combination of springs/struts and spacers. It clears the 35" tires well and does not rub. It still has around 5" of droop with this setup and does great offroad.
The good:
Runs excellent
Tracks straight
AC blows ice cold
ARB lockers work great
Cruises down the freeway at 80+mph no problem
Stereo is awesome
Interior leather is great
Factory rubber floor mats
Proud Rhino switch panel with 4X charge ports
Carling switches for ARB lockers and tap shift
All gauges work correctly
In dash DVD player (never turned it on but it is there)
18x9 BMW M3 wheels with Maxxis RZR 35" tires
etc etc etc
The bad:
The factory Java black paint shows wear from the Arizona sun
Evidence that this is not a pavement queen, scratches and a few small dents
If it sits without being driven the battery drains sometimes. It is intermittent and needs a relay but does not happen often enough for me to find it. Drive it every week and it is not an issue.
Sunroof does not work, and sunroof tubes need cleaning. No issues in rain, only going through the car wash
I have the contact number for the guy that built it. Countless hours were put into integrating the new drivetrain and the body control module. He is a great guy and helpful if there are any questions. I have way too many fun project vehicles and although I do enjoy this rig, it is time for me to thin the herd. I am working on a 1984 defender 110 for the time being. $14,900
